Leon P. "Sealey2k" Sealey is a respected free lance photographer specializing in entertainment and special event photography. For several years Leon held the position of Senior Staff Photographer at a New York urban publication, the New York TREND. The newspaper, in circulation throughout the New York metropolitan area bears the banner, "The Largest Black Owned Newspaper On Long Island". During his years of service there, Leon had been respectfully dubbed by his colleagues as "Sealey2k" due to his ability to get the unique perspective on a shot other photographers didn't. The Sealey2k goal was more than just getting the shot. It was capturing the expressive body language and gestures of jazz artists at their highest peak when performing at festivals, concerts and special events. Having a background in music performance, Leon masterfully utilizes the camera lens as his instrument of creation to produce medleys of musically inspired images.
In recognition of Leon's ability and willingness to manage multi-faceted, complex assignments, he earned the unique opportunity of photographing what many have considered "the greatest show on earth" in modern history: the inauguration of our 44th President of The United States of America.
